- Without your consent, we store only your cookie banner choice and, if you pick one, the currency on a pricing table.
- Our server keeps a record of your banner choice for 13 months after the end of the month you made it, without your IP address, to show what you agreed to.
- We count visits with Plausible, which uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
- Session recording and advertising tags load only if you accept them in the cookie banner.
- You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
01What this policy covers
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage and tags (scripts and pixels from other companies) work in a similar way: they store or read information on your device. This policy lists each of them on thereflection.io, who sets it and why. How we handle the personal data they collect is in our privacy policy.
“First-party” means stored under thereflection.io; “third-party” means stored under another company’s domain. Durations for other companies’ cookies are the ones they publish; we link to their lists below.
02Without your consent
These are needed for something you asked for, so the law does not require your consent for them.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
tr_consent | First-party cookie | Remembers your choice in the cookie banner: the banner version, the categories you accepted, the date of your choice and a random ID that links it to the record of your choice on our server | 6 months |
tr-cur | First-party local storage | Remembers the currency you pick on a pricing table. Stored only when you pick one | Until you clear this site’s data in your browser |
Record of your choice. When you make or change a choice in the banner, your browser sends it to our server, which keeps a record: the random ID from the tr_consent cookie, the banner version, the categories you accepted, how you chose (accept all, reject all, your own selection or withdrawal), the site language and the time. The record has no IP address and no details about your browser or device. It lets us show that you gave or refused consent. We keep it for 13 months after the end of the month you made the choice, then delete it automatically.
Visit statistics. We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which runs on our own server in the EU (Germany). It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. To count unique visitors, it makes a daily identifier from a hash of the IP address and browser, and deletes the key to that hash every 24 hours, so a visitor cannot be recognized from one day to the next. We see only aggregated statistics (Plausible data policy).
Booking a demo. This website does not load Calendly. When you follow the Pick a time link after the demo request form, Calendly’s own cookie policy applies on its website.
03Analytics, with your consent
If you accept Analytics, we load Microsoft Clarity. It records how visitors move through a page (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) so we can replay sessions and fix usability problems. What you type into form fields is hidden in the recordings.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_clck | First-party cookie | Keeps the Clarity user ID and preferences for this website | [Duration] |
_clsk | First-party cookie | Connects page views into one session recording | [Duration] |
CLID, MUID, ANONCHK, MR, SM | Third-party cookies, Microsoft domains | Recognize the browser across websites that use Clarity and keep the Microsoft browser ID in sync. Microsoft also uses MUID for advertising and site analytics | [Duration] |

04Advertising, with your consent
If you accept Advertising, we load the tags below. We use Google Ads and LinkedIn tags when we run campaigns on those platforms, to see which ads lead to demo requests; the Lemon Squeezy script credits the partners who refer customers to us.
Google Ads
We use Google Consent Mode in basic mode: the Google tag does not load, and sends nothing to Google, until you accept Advertising (Google: about consent mode).
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_gb | First-party cookies, set by the Google tag | Link a click on our ad to a demo request on this website | 90 days |
Google may also set cookies on its own domains, such as IDE on doubleclick.net (13 months in the EEA and UK). Source: Google, cookies used by Google’s advertising products.
LinkedIn Insight Tag
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
li_fat_id | First-party cookie | Indirect LinkedIn member identifier for conversion tracking, retargeting and analytics | 30 days |
li_giant | First-party cookie | Indirect group identifier for conversion tracking | 7 days |
ln_or | First-party cookie | Checks whether Oribi analytics can run on this website | 1 day |
bcookie, lidc, UserMatchHistory, AnalyticsSyncHistory | Third-party cookies, linkedin.com | Identify the browser, route requests to a LinkedIn data center and sync advertising and analytics IDs | bcookie 1 year, lidc 24 hours, the others 30 days |

Lemon Squeezy affiliate script
The script credits a partner who sent you to us if you buy (Lemon Squeezy: getting referrals). It loads only if you accept Advertising, and it acts only when you arrive through a partner’s affiliate link (an address with?aff=) or already have the ls_aff_ref cookie from such a visit. In that case it:
- computes a fingerprint of your browser with FingerprintJS from features of your device, such as canvas and audio rendering, installed fonts, graphics card, screen, time zone and language;
- sends the fingerprint, the address of the page and the page you came from (referrer) to Lemon Squeezy at app.lemonsqueezy.com;
- saves the click ID that Lemon Squeezy returns in the
ls_aff_refcookie and adds it to links to Lemon Squeezy on the page.
Without an affiliate link or this cookie, it does none of this: your browser only downloads the script from lmsqueezy.com.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
ls_aff_ref | First-party cookie | Remembers which partner referred you | [Tracking length set in our affiliate settings] |
05How to change your choice
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept Analytics and Advertising. Nothing in these categories loads until you accept. To change your choice, open Cookie settings at the bottom of any page; withdrawing is as easy as accepting. Your choice is kept for 6 months, then the banner asks again.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website works without them, but it will not remember your banner choice or currency.
06Changes to this policy
When we add or remove a cookie or tag, we update this page and the date at the top.
